I see top European publications putting Moonlight on their best of 2017. Makes no sense. It won the oscar for 2016.

that's like me putting The Revenant as a 2016 movie since that's when I saw it.

I've stated before that's why I don't fukk with European end year lists. I understand they do it for the plebs since they don't know any better but as supposed film connoisseurs they should maintain some fukking standard.

People actually liked John wick 2 like that?,

Huge huge let down from the first.

I loved it! The story and the action held up for me.

And Keanu can't do no wrong in my book.

I'll probably take it off my list once I see The Shape of Water though. Also forgot about Wind River. Have to add that on my top 10.

People actually liked John wick 2 like that?,

Huge huge let down from the first.

Just watched it again over the weekend and I still love it. It doesn't have the emotional drive that the first had, which is why I still say 1 is better than 2, but it makes up for that with the world building and adding to the mythology of this world of assassins while also really putting John's feet to the fire

I'll watch John Wick 2 because 2017 was a terrible film year so I need to give it chance but just the concept of a John Wick 2 makes me shake my head.

2017 was a tremendous year for movies and tv. You're doing it wrong.

I haven't seen as many movies from 2017 I did in the years prior because I've been busy with my own stuff but right now I'm not sure I could make a top 10 with only movies I think are good. I'll be playing catch up in January.

TV was great in 2017 though.

I can only judge the year based on what I've seen? I've seen all the major movies outside of WarApes and John Wick 2 and some of the smaller stuff and most of that has been terrible. Dunkirk might make my top 10, 2017 has been THAT bad.
