bit rappin 4 tay, that weak ass ode to the bay (sound) "the motto"...
The Motto was dope and who else in rap was putting on for Mac Drey

For Free is obviously a concept song and the Too short lyrics further the concept

Why do people only care when Drake mixes some famous lyrics into his raps?

Cole Does it to a point where it's OD and no one says a thing

Meek had a record using Biggie lyrics and flow

people pick and choose...snoop used to remake classics and get lauded, jay got slammed for using biggie's lyrics ad nauseum...we really gonna sit here and act like these things are based on logic?

and we don't need drake putting on for mac dre (tho gotti was in in act right), we do it ourselves out here. no one in the bay is looking for drake, jay, etc co-signs to make us feel validated.

Is that from the For Free song? I didn't watch the video

I heard that at the club this past weekend and thought these lines sound similar, just switched up :ohhh:

Now I realize it was Short

There's a clear difference between Drake and Cole & Meek

It is based on logic, the shyt you're comparing is apples and oranges. Snoop got lauded because he didn't run the "remake" concept into the ground. Jay got called out because he was taking lines left and right. Drake gets called out because....well, do I need to explain that?

shyt is not nearly as random or contradictory as you're making it seem.
