It's really possible her boyfriend/lover/handler was essentially an independent trafficker, who sourced cocaine through different sources of supply, and operated his own trafficking network, using her as a courier, and moving the product himself. With him in custody, there aren't going to be many willing parties to kill a federal witness, and she will 100% disappear into a city somewhere, though I doubt wit sec. It's rare that someone like her would actually be murdered for her cooperation. Now, I don't know if she still had family in Jamaica, who could be vulnerable. They factor all this in when they are pleading, it's all been arranged already.
