Wake.
Tryna get this attention, because the race was under yellow flag (you slow down and don't pass under yellow) the blue car stayed low and avoided him, but Tony drove upwards and GUNNED that shyt to intentionally hit him.

I know they were at reduced speed because of the caution but still they were going by at a pretty good pace. I'm not too heavy into the racing but I've seen them boys throw helmets at cars passing by on caution. But this dude literally walked down into the path of these cars and ended up getting too close for comfort and got clipped.

But yeah Tony accelerated it looked/sounded like so he's still largely at fault.

Honestly...there's been a press conference about the Stewart incident and there's now video of the incident

how is ESPN just going with the some 30 second reader they've been running with for the past hour???...terrible job

this is the biggest story there is...there should at least be sound from the police presser...it's like they're scared of the story.

Even with no facts it's still their job to cover the story...provide what little facts and details that exist...show us the police explaining the situation.

awful job by them

In ESPN's defense on one part, the presser hasn't happened. They better do live coverage of that or they'll get hammered by media critics and general public.

To my knowledge they haven't even reported that a press conference is scheduled. They are avoiding the story right now...I know it's delicate...I know it's a tough situation...but it is their JOB. Time of night is no excuse...the advantage of a 24-hour network is that they can report on stories 24-7 with no waiting. The immediacy is the reason behind the network. Instead we're getting a little reader every 30 minutes. It's just really bad right now.

Stewart will be cleared in this.

he is a professional driver. If he WANTED to run over the dude then he would have. the video shows the dumbass running into the middle of the track like a careless fool almost getting hit by that other car before Stewart is anywhere near him.
