It looks like most people are saying the accident was in killing the kid, not in aiming for the kid in the first place. This shyt is common in that kind of racing? He was trying to use his car to throw mud on the kid? It's normal for drivers to get out of their car and throw obscene gestures at fellow racers who knock them out?

It's normal for Tony Stewart to lose his temper and act reckless, and there's multiple stories of him doing so on the track?

The only investigation needs to be on how heavy the charges should be. If he gets away scot free, if they try to claim they won't charge him because it was an accident.....

You can't even begin to comprehend the fukkery that goes on at these unsanctioned, independently promoted, small town racing events.

But yes, it is normal.

But no, it doesn't excuse death by motor vehicle.

It's the culture that needs to be changed. You can't change the culture until authorities, event organizers, etc. start to hand down severe, punitive damages, and the fans have to stop embracing that kind of culture.

But will that happen, tho.

He intentionally aimed for the kid. He didn't mean to kill him. It's still manslaughter, at least. If you aim a gun at somebody and pull the trigger, but you thought it was unloaded, you'd still be on the hook when the bullet pierces their heart.

I don't know. Him and Danica look like they're unusually intimate with one another in those .gifs LastManStanding posted. If racing really is all Tony has in his life, I see what you're saying. Maybe he's in denial. Maybe he doesn't think he's at fault. Something like this is supposed to make you stand back and reassess your life, though. If that's all there is, a twenty year old kid dying because of your actions - a kid wearing your original race colors, who used to idolize you - is supposed to make you go 'whoa' and fall back.

Tony isn't doing that. He should be in a jail cell, or at least holed up with his attorneys in a secret location, thinking about how he's going to deal with the rest of his life and the family of the kid he killed. If you're going to avoid the world, that's how you do it. You don't prep your car and then go race again as if nothing happened and nothing mattered. Even if some fans are willing to suck your dikk and absolve you... for now.
