. This isn't driving down the street. The g-forces are extreme and require actual training to drive and be in shape enough to last a race. Doesn't matter if they are athletes, there's a reason most race car drivers are young. As for this incident, any race fan or race driver damn well knows what happens when you gun it on cold tires or loose dirt or pavement; your tires spin and the back end kicks sideways. A sprint car will do it even more and a driver of his experience know it.
