But how can you say fans "eating up" all this stuff outside of the E? The industry is far from ass. You see it that way because you're stuck in a bubble. :comeon:

Look at the way y’all go at it every week over AEW vs NXT.. y’all eating this shyt up, and it’s in the gutter

I don’t know what bubble you’re talking about but if you’re implying I’m not watching every wrestling show on earth, you cot damn right. I FF through weeklys, only pay attention to specific storylines. Don’t watch AEW xplosion or that NXT shyt. I truthfully watch about 40 minutes of wrestling per week, if that even.

I’ll gladly admit that I’m disinterested in this shyt. I only stick around out of habit and I like shooting the shyt with my TSC brehs. That’s it.

You can say because I’m not watching I can’t 100% speak on the product like that, and you’d be right to an extent.. but when I see shyt like this exploding ring, it tells me all I need to know.

Kenny Omega “furious” after Revolution PPV

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega was reportedly angry after last night’s Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch main event at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view.

As noted, last night’s match saw Omega retain his title over Jon Moxley. After the match, the 30-minute timer kept counting down to a full explosion of the ring area. Moxley was still down in the ring, with Eddie Kingston covering him to save him from the explosion. It was expected that the timed explosion would be this huge, grand blast, but it was a dud. The lackluster explosion led to a significant amount of negative feedback on social media.

Omega was said to be “furious” at the finale, according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live. Omega was not happy with how the ending went down.

On a related note, AEW is apparently trying to keep clips of the dud blast off social media. They made several DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedowns on Twitter accounts today, with most, if not all, of the DMCA requests being for clips that were from the main event. AEW usually allows accounts to post GIFs from matches, and in the past they have said GIFs will be safe from DMCA requests.

I’m saying it’s stupid to say the business is ass when it’s not. And how can you speak on what’s “ass” when you don’t even watch? I’m not watching 8 hours of Wrasslin weekly, but I know it’s not ass. Just because you have no interest in what’s on doesn’t make it trash. :childplease:

Do you know how retarded you sound when you say shyt is ass when you don’t even watch? :what:

That Ratings thread has nothing to do with this discussion.

Lol uh oh......

I don't blame him. One of AEW's biggest weaknesses is in terms of storytelling for more than just a handful of the roster.

Like even if Sonny Kiss wasn't appearing on Dynamite every week they could have a storyline for him on Dark.

But they put almost no effort into writing for Dark. The last real storyline on Dark was the Pete Avalon/Brandon Cutler/Leva Bates breakup feud.

Instead of stories Dark is just people wrestling one another with no stakes or angles.

Dark is 2 hours of wrestling every week that should be treated like its just like Dynamite. Write angles for people, create feuds, let people work on their promo game. That way people can still be doing creative things even if they aren't on the main show and they could use Dark to prime storylines for the Dynamite.

Its just a wasted opportunity the way they are doing it now.

breh you are indeed in a bubble. TV ratings are down across the board for various reasons. TV ratings will never see the numbers they did before in any show or sport.

The fact is AEW and sometimes NXT are the most watched shyt on cable on Wednesdays sometimes w/ more viewers than an NBA game.

WWE RAW has been #1 #2 and #3 on Monday nights the past 2 weeks.

SD! always on top on Friday for network TV.

Wrestling ain't nowhere near dead

NBC just gave WWE another billon to add the network to Peacock.

TNT reupped AEW for more money than the first contract.

not even close. They are the #1 show on all of cable for Wednesday nights. Dudes wanna be overdramatic over a blown spot
I was bullshytting. Yeah the fact the explosion didn’t go off sucked but I seem to recall a certain match at the Royal Rumble having a big botch as well. shyt tends to go awry more when you’re doing a live show, perhaps they should’ve been better prepared but :yeshrug:

It was their worst moment so far, but on the whole I've been enjoying AEW more often than not, so it doesn't really bug me.

Lots of these cringe moments happen on all promotions, even WWE. But you gotta look at the sum of all parts to decide if you enjoy the product. Pitchforking off one incident is lame and I won't do it for any company..

Regarding more surprises, I really think they need to add more veterans (who can still work decently well) to put over their young "indie" guys. Guys with some starpower, so yes it's gonna be "WWE rejects" most likely.

It's over

I don't see aew coming back from this
Needs better talent. Too many vanilla dudes and I can't really take ppl that were my size and weight in middle school serious. I'm trying though.

I really wish they had TNAs talent and guys like Jay White and Tama Tosi on there.

AEW needs to stop signing people for a while unless it's an actual person who might make a difference & there's probably less than 5 people that would do that so. Roster is bloated like WWE without all the time to fill that WWE has :yeshrug:

I don’t think wrestling is dead, or anything close to that. I 100% agree with everything you said, especially as far as ratings. Wrestling period is always amongst the most watched things every week, regardless of what guys like Meltzer try to propagate

I was mainly speaking on the product itself. I don’t think the products warrant the crazy wars some of you force every week
