Damn a lot of people are gonna be disappointed tonight :francis:

Tony Khan Confirms Tommy Dreamer Is Not The Surprise On 2/9 AEW DynamiteTony Khan Confirms Tommy Dreamer Is Not The Surprise On 2/9 AEW Dynamite | Fightful News

Tony Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio and was asked by Tommy Dreamer if the name of the surprise rhymes with "Stommy Teamer."

"No," Tony said with a laugh. "It does not rhyme with that and it is not Tommy Dreamer. You are welcome tonight to the show, but I'm sorry, no, you're not the surprise."

That settles that.

:whoa:

You're back on the Dreamer bandwagon?

I think RVD is about to sign with them, just a guess but yesterday he had a interview and he said MJF is the best heel in the business and he also said he wanted to be in the royal rumble but WWE didn't make it happen

I don't think that's the big signing tonight but I can see him signing soon

I will ask this question because it’s a hot name being thrown around, but where do people get that Ali would be worth all of the legal hurdles you’d have to go through to be a worthwhile signing?

His greatest contribution to wrestling has been getting hurt and clearing the way for Kofi to become champion.

If he learns from Christian debacle it’s Jeff, Wyatt, or okada.
If he didn’t it could be Keith lee :mjlol:

Keith Lee would be a fine addition as a whole and would probably have some nice matches but I'm kinda with the earlier breh who said Lee might be washed as a true difference maker. I don't view him as a top guy in 2022. Maybe it was a fallacy I ever did.

Kross COULD be a top guy there but they'd need to rebuild him to an extent so I can't see that living up to the hype.

Jeff Hardy isn't legally able, I really doubt Tony Khan bought out his deal, if that is even an option on the table.

I do think they learned their lesson from Christian, so in order for it not to feel like a let down it's pretty much gotta be Bray Wyatt or MAYBE Johnny Gargano

I was at Dynamite last week and during his lil speech before the show Tony did the "R-V-D" point with his hand when hyping the show. Thought it was weird at the time.

I can see a swerve happening with a double debut.
First an appearance from a wrestler that is kind of underwhelming, then a legit game changer comes in.
Even if it would be disrespectful to the first talent to put him in this position.

Don't see that happening given how critical he's been of the company

If Gargano had any interest, he would have appeared when they were in his hometown a couple weeks ago. Plus IIRC his wife is due any day now with their first child so there's no chance it's him.
