Tomb Raider (2013) is underrated

Nah it’s rated fairly.

The story,characters and writing are atrocious and the multiplayer was ass cheeks.


How you gonna lean into uncharted style but not have what makes uncharted what it is,good writing and characters.

That aspect was ps2 quality and to me that’s unacceptable in this day and age. You can’t cover it up with pretty graphics when the core is rotten.

I know for some people they don’t care and that’s cool but for me it’s unacceptable for games to have this bad of writing and characters anymore.

as much as I love uncharted, I gotta keep it a buck, there was only 1 great Uncharted game, part 2. part 1, 3 and 4 were good games but only the 2nd one was truly great in my opinion.

Haven't played Rise yet. Want to play Shadow but.. but a sep release is bad.

I liked the reboot better than Uncharted 3.

I still haven't played Rise yet even though I have it. I might start it to see if it's as good as the 2013 one.

Played through it twice. Loved it. I thought it was world's more enjoyable & entertaining than the sequel, which was an absolute chore for me to complete in comparison.

Loved the gritty nature of 2013 version. The deaths were gruesome and actually made you fight harder to keep Lara alive.

Got it for free from Live and 100%'d it. It was good. But the thing is, after watching the original Tomb Raider get speedran at SGDQ and I realized just how off the newer games were. The older games were insanely hard and full of enormous amounts of exploring. No hand holding. There was far less of an emphasis on combat against humans. Tons of animals from bats to wolves, raptors, T-Rex, lions gorillas, centaurs etc. The new games have nothing on the old games. They took so much technical skill to play. Watching that speedrun made me realize why I was never able to beat any of them as a kid. They were brutal.

I enjoyed the reboot. It heavily borrowed from Uncharted but it did enough different with combat to keep it interesting. That Rise of the Tomb Raider though. I don't know. I just couldn't get into it.
