I don't think Brady played a good game but I also don't think it's proof of him decaying. He still led the NFL in pass attempts by far. I would not be surprised if he comes back next year and performs well.

Still great seeing him lose and he looked like a lot of other QBs that get called "chokers" today. When your o-line doesn't help you, your team is missing fgs, getting penalties, awful D, etc. You aren't doing anything. He didn't get going until his team started making more plays.

I'd love to hear an explanation from all the people who swear QB record is a thing, how Brady lost to Matt Stafford (who is supposed to be a stat-padding INT machine).
im sorry bro, that was one of the best games Brady had played all year lol

Given the circumstances. There’s 4 TD games he’s had this year that were less impressive than today

Yeah it's not a decay game considering all those injuries and the fact he still put up 27 points (could have been 30 if Succop was a better kicker)

He had numerous worse playoff games back when he was actually young

The throw to Evans was a great play but I don't think this was a good game.

First-half turnover that gave the Rams the ball in FG range. Game really should have ended there but Rams fumbled with Brady on the sideline.
Scores a TD after getting the ball at the 30 because of a Rams fumble.
Scores another TD after getting the ball at the 30 again because of a Rams fumble.
Gets bailed out of a sack-fumble because Rams mess up the hike on next play.

Part of the reason they had to comeback to begin with is because their offense was so ass in the first half.
And if it weren't for an endless amount of mistakes the Rams made, while Brady was on the sideline, that second-half comeback doesn't happen.

I'm not putting this loss completely on him, but I'm not gonna pretend he played some amazing game.

“Bad game” or not, Brady put his team in the position to win the game at the last seconds, but his defense couldn’t contain the pass.

That’s all you ask for out of your QB, it’s not like he lost the game with the ball in his hands, the defense blew it

This is in no way a flat top game

I agree it is not a flat top game...but how can you just write it off as "the defense blew it."

The same defense that forced a game saving first half fumble, and then three more in the second half?

You are definitely correct, as the defense also helped Tom be able to make the comeback on offense.

But I meant “blew it” as in they let Matt Stafford somehow find cooper kupp damn near wide open TWICE in the final 30 secs of the game to win by a fg. Doesn’t matter how good you looked if you don’t stick the landing at the end

You’re not taking into account some of the egregious drops that happened and killed drives. I’ve never seen Brady play this poised under this much duress as a Buccaneer.

He had plenty extra chances because of the Rams dumb ass turnovers and failed execution on offense. But with the injuries on offense there was no guarantee Brady would even get the offense into the end zone

He literally had two all-time great pass rushers (#99 is arguably the GOAT) and another good one breathing down his neck

As highly touted as the Bucs defense is finally being fullly healthy, it shoulda never been this easy for the Rams to score. Stafford lead the league in picks & they barely disrupted him

Buccaneers scored 30+ in every game at home this season except the outlier game against the Saints. They literally did it today when you take into account Succop missing an easy field goal. That’s with literally half their offense missing…

Brady had a couple bad games this year, this was by far one of his most impressive. He got a lot of luck to go his way (and bad luck) but dude actually delivered.

Yeah putting up 27 points with all those injuries is not a flat top game. Everyone knew this would be a tough game for the Bucs.

How many QBs right now could win in that situation?
