comparing between eras (and sports) is hard, and I know why folks don’t want to go overboard lauding him since everyone accepts that competition gets stiffer and stiffer as pro sports became a mature industry. That’s exactly my point...he can’t choose his comp, but there’s not much more he could’ve done to more impressively dominate that era. I guess not get injured those few years and win those titles too. Of course if he did that, he would’ve just gotten knocked more for being on loaded teams.
