It was clear Shane was on his last legs and wasn't a threat to Pacquiao which now qualifies him to get the fight...The money reason was always bullshyt...

My whole point from my first post in this thread was disagreeing with dude who called Manny's career manufactured. That is clearly bullshyt. If we are going to discredit Manny's wins then the same can be done to Floyd or any fighter's career if we nitpick enough.

To discredit any boxer's resume is bull. EVERY fighter has cherry picked opponents for various reasons ie, a bigger draw (or not), styles, size, record, etc. the point is to build up a boxer to make jima product that will draw interest from the fans because the fans =$$$. That's why it's called prize fighting. Every boxer has holes in their resume, every boxer, some more than others. People question Manny's preference to fight at catchweights OR having fighters come down to him out of their natural fight weight and catching them at the tail end of their careers, on the other hand Floyd has been accused of ducking certain fighters, Paul, Margarito, Manny and the Klitschko brothers (sorry I had to throw that in there) and fighting for paydays only. You get the gist.

Floyds the one who decided to take a 2 year retirement following that...

As for why Pac didn't fight shane after Marg... Why would he?? Pac had never even weighed in past 138 yet Roach is supposed to throw him in with the second best guy at 147... Pac hadn't even established himself as a welterweight yet.. would you rather he drain down to 140 and get fukked up the way Oscar did... At least when Pac fought Cotto (who beat shane) Cotto would come in under the 147 limit regularly.. If any pf you were in Toach position you wouldn't have put him in the ring with Shane either... And it definitely would've been a sad day in boxing to see Pacquiao face Shane before Floyd
