The Mavericks will be granted the #11 pick.
I hope he goes somewhere that hasn't drafted a true superstar for a while, or had any sort of notable success in recent times.
Detroit
Indiana
Charlotte
Orlando
Washington.
It'd be a good story for any of those franchises.
None of those guys are generational talents though. And none of those franchises have done anything of note in recent memory.Detroit got the #1 pick 2 years ago.
Washington had it and drafted an ambitious backup dancer in John Wall.
Charlotte has the immortal LaMelo Ball who can extend dynasties apparently.
Orlando just drafted Banchero.
Already one step ahead of you -I'm rooting for Indiana. Haliburton, Wemby, Mathurin, Duarte (De Lo Mio Personal)
A Haliburton, Mathurin and Wembanyama is the trio I wanna see. It'll be a great come-up for the Pacers who've been largely irrelevant during the modern era.
Out of all the teams that are a realistic chance of getting the #1 pick, the Pacers stand to benefit the most:
- no success since the merger
- a state with a rich basketball history and fanbase
- two young guards who look like they could be a backcourt of the future
It would be the best story if they land Wembanyama, imo.
This is the NBA, where a generation talent apparently comes out every year.None of those guys are generational talents though. And none of those franchises have done anything of note in recent memory.
Lls this shyt is rigged cmonObligatory - “This shyt is rigged, Silver rewarding [Insert Team Here] for…”
He's probably been hyped to death by Tony Parker about the Spurs and how they do.Question, what team ya'll think Wemby is wanting to get the #1 pick?
He’s going to be a bustWemby gonna be a Spur
