I hope he goes somewhere that hasn't drafted a true superstar for a while, or had any sort of notable success in recent times.

Detroit
Indiana
Charlotte
Orlando
Washington.

It'd be a good story for any of those franchises.

Detroit got the #1 pick 2 years ago.

Washington had it and drafted an ambitious backup dancer in John Wall.

Charlotte has the immortal LaMelo Ball who can extend dynasties apparently.

Orlando just drafted Banchero.

I'm rooting for Indiana. Haliburton, Wemby, Mathurin, Duarte (De Lo Mio Personal)

None of those guys are generational talents though. And none of those franchises have done anything of note in recent memory.

Already one step ahead of you -
A Haliburton, Mathurin and Wembanyama is the trio I wanna see. It'll be a great come-up for the Pacers who've been largely irrelevant during the modern era.
Out of all the teams that are a realistic chance of getting the #1 pick, the Pacers stand to benefit the most:

- no success since the merger
- a state with a rich basketball history and fanbase
- two young guards who look like they could be a backcourt of the future

It would be the best story if they land Wembanyama, imo.

WASHINGTON, DC
No team has won the NBA lottery with longer odds than Orlando in 1993, when the Magic had only a 1.52% chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick and won the right to select Chris Webber (whom they traded to Golden State for the rights to Penny Hardaway and three future first-round picks). Chicago (Derrick Rose in 2008) and Cleveland (Anthony Bennett in 2014) have also won the lottery with less than a 2% chance of success (1.7% in both cases).

I’d like to see him in Charlotte. Would be good for him to be with a good playmaker like LaMelo

Second option would be with the spurs, pop would turn him into a machine

Pacers Lowkey would be solid as well with Halliburton… would also make it cheap for a team to get Myles Turner

Wish list

1- Wizards bc I’m in the dmv. Team wise tho they would be a terrible fit since they have no young core whatsoever.

2- Detroit. Cade-Ivey-Wemby could rival KD-Russ-Harden

3- Charlotte. Lamelo + Wemby + Bridges + that announcer would be must see tv.

Teams I DONT want:

Spurs- just no. Hell no. Boring ass team and I dont want to him to save Pop

Houston. KPJ and Jalen Green scare me. They could sabotage him on and off court :mjpls:

Who I think will get it: Charlotte. It just seems ironic/fitting they’d get this pick right when Mike sells the team like a dumbass
