I call it, "flippy floppy wrestling".
It's like everyone wants to be Jeff Hardy, Rob Van and Shawn Michaels all rolled into one perfect flippy floppy robot being able to do any and everything. FOH
I too much prefer grounded wrestlers because that is a more realistic approach to fighting in real life than a gymnastic acrobat spinning off of a wall to give you a roundhouse kick which would never happen in a real fight because it's not believable. WWE creative just doesn't give a fukk and it's been this way for the past 4 years since NXT came along.
With NXT they are grooming their future performers to flip and flop around so expect to see it for the next 15 years
Question how do you feel about the Lucha Libre style? Ironically in Mexico, kayfabe is still alive even though like you said it's a pretty unrealistic style.
