ill be the first to say I’m not hip on new WWE too much. But I did watch mania. I’ve seen so many people on here say that the wrestling now is better than ever. Bull fukking shyt.

The Seth Rollins triple threat match is a perfect example of how today’s wrestling lacks psychology and storytelling. It was like putting a smack down video game on cpu vs cpu. Every move was just set up to be a counter for another move. No storytelling, no taunting, nothing. Way too fast paced. Just one spot into another. Just pure trash. I was hype for this match too. The Styles/Shinsuke match was this way too. As was the Orton match. Is it just me

It’s mainly just that “WWE Style”

It’s rigid and spitefully refuses to evolve.

Then you hear them tout so much about them being safe but yet more guys a year get injured from that style than you hear from outside of the E

Refuse to evolve? The WWE adopted (or at least tried to adopt) the fast paced indy style that is common today. The only problem is that using an "indy" style on a WWE schedule is an easy way to get injuries.

Yeap, imagine a new japan style on a WWE schedule :picard: no wonder it looks like Nakamura is on his Japanese Randy Orton shyt with phoning it in

I enjoyed SD’s US title fatal 4 way, Brock n Roman and Rhonda matches more cuz it was classic old school wrestling. Good guy vs Bad Guy in a FIGHT.

Cats nowadays mostly enjoy the flippy stuff n cats forearming each other in da head for 30 mins. It sucks kinda because dudes who are talented n wrestle an old school slower style like Orton, Brock,Jinder, Reigns, Brock, Miz get shyt on cuz they don’t damn near kill themselves like that idiot Osperay (the current neckbeard darling) damn near did a few days ago.

That's the name of the game now. A lot of guys have been trying to emulate that classic Undertaker and Shawn Michaels match from 9 years ago.
Facts. So many false finishes and all that shyt that I hate.

Brock n Roman was decent and Rhonda match was great to me

The wrestlers today are better athletes, which we've seen across various other sports, better athletes = quicker the pace is. But while the wrestlers have gotten healthier and more athletic, its meant that the little nuances of match pacing, timing, storytelling/psychology have been lost. And getting your shyt in, bouncing around like a pin ball and doing shyt for the sake of it with no reasoning to get a pop has over taken the old adage that less is more.

I call it, "flippy floppy wrestling".

It's like everyone wants to be Jeff Hardy, Rob Van :damn: and Shawn Michaels all rolled into one perfect flippy floppy robot being able to do any and everything. :camby:FOH

I too much prefer grounded wrestlers because that is a more realistic approach to fighting in real life than a gymnastic acrobat spinning off of a wall to give you a roundhouse kick which would never happen in a real fight because it's not believable. WWE creative just doesn't give a fukk and it's been this way for the past 4 years since NXT came along.

With NXT they are grooming their future performers to flip and flop around so expect to see it for the next 15 years:mjcry::mjlol::scust:
