You know
True. Trap beats get boring .Lazy producing.
On a similar subject.
Even though I feel good about the future of R&B. Artist need to do more uptempo R&B songs with a groove to it instead of all these slow/Trap soul songs.
smooth shyt like this:

New generation of producers doesnt listen to the classics that premo n the neptunes n other legends grew up listening too, so their music doesnt have that type of soul. More similarities to EDM in modern day hip hop production than anything else
A lot of these cats are lazy too. I don’t think a lot of people realize how much work goes into finding and flipping a sample

Bmore stand up!
Producers today aren’t really “producers” they’re “track makers” an actual producer is old Pharrell, Rza, Kanye, Dre, DJ QUICK, hell.... even Pimp C, dilla, premo, the dues who did all the bad boy shyt in the mid and late 90’s.... these dudes now a days just recycling trap sounds with the same baseline. Some shyt is dope but most of it has no REPLAY VALUE.... that’s what makes good music “good music”

It definitely lacks soul. I was listening to Masego who's new school & I hope his music makes it to the forefront. He's an actual young musician (who plays multiple instruments) with a lot of soul. Super talented

If there was more trap tracks like below I would enjoy it more

Sample clearances and record companies not willing to pay the fees anymore killed everything
It's time these kids pick up a bass guitar. Metro boomin learned bass and piano in highschool
