Today I learned the reason why Diamond D album covers only say "Diamond" is because a white guy from California had already trademarked "Diamond D"

There were at least four people using some variation of the name ‘Biggie Smalls’ that were affiliated with Tupac.

  • The Notorious B.I.G., the obvious Biggie Smalls who Shock G had once wrongly suggested that this song was about.
  • Big D The Impossible (Deon Evans), one of Tupac’s producers. You can see Tupac refer to him as Biggie Smalls in this video
  • Tim Bigelow (who used the name Biggy Smallz), a young rapper who had songs produced by Tupac’s producer Johnny J. It is rumored that Tupac told Biggie to change his name because of this him.
  • Drik (Stretch’s friend, who was nicknamed Biggie Smalls)
This track is actually dedicated to Drik, who grew up in Queensbridge with Stretch and The Live Squad and was a part of Tupac’s ‘Thug Life’ movement.

Big Syke states that this track was dedicated to Drik in this interview.
