His offense is still a work in progress but he did his job tonight. Flirted with a triple double and held Luka to 5/26 shooting.
That wasn't Kawhi locking someone up. Luka was just off (much like Wemby today). As for Jeremy's offense...blowing layups, awful turnarounds. Dallas dared him to shoot. My fear is we're going to turn him into the new Bryn Forbes. He's gonna get overpaid because he's a good teammate. I just don't see him being a top 4 guy on this team, but PATFO seem to think he will be.

The timvp ST take:

Jeremy Sochan

The Mavs were sagging off of Sochan and trying to force him to take on a larger role offensively. The strategy worked. Sochan was okay-ish from three-point range (3-for-9) but was a disaster inside of the arc (1-for-6). His passing was smarter than usual but he needed to shoot better to make the Mavericks pay. Sochan scoring 13 points on 15 shots when he was left unguarded much of the evening isn’t going to cut it. Defensively, he was solid. He moved his feet well out on the perimeter, he was disciplined and he rebounded well. But, yeah, Sochan can’t be such a liability on offense and still be a net positive player.
