Suits/non sports fans who go to the games because the Corporate offices they work in bought half of the raptors/leafs tickets available. Corporate fans always occupy them corporate lower bowl seats

For them going to a raptors/ leafs games is like going to a movie, the opera or a night out at the restaurant. It’s a simple activity for them. They are not diehard or even sports fans.

We have a lot of important players out because of injuries ( Barnes, Quickley, etc)we struggle to close out games, create a lot of unforced turnovers, we execute plays in a sloppy way without paying attention to details (I put this on the lack of experience and maturity, and it’s still the first month of the season. It takes time for the players to build chemistry with each other -keep in mind that we haven’t had a completely healthy team yet) and can’t put away opposing teams when we have the opportunity. We had winnable games in our hands and we let them slip away through our fingers like sand.

defensively we allow 120-130 points every game. This is too much. This is a serious problem. Is it the fault of the coaching staff or the roster)

if we want to be better we need to change how we play defense. Our defensive coverage/tactics/strategies need to be much more efficient.

But still, this young squad never gives up the fight and works hard every night. They are easy to like and fun to watch. There’s hope for a better future with them. We can have faith in them. With Fred/siakam, it felt like we were stuck at mid level with no hope of progress or contention, and that we would remain in the same boring and mediocre spot forever.

But seriously when was the last time we were a strong and suffocating defensive team ? The 2021-22 season when Nick Nurse was still head coach, we grabbed the 5th seed and lost to Philly in 6 in the first round of the playoffs. Since that year, we progressively became softer and easier to play against defensively.
