And McNabb didn't?:stopitslime:

McNabb throwing up in the huddle had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. Bad clock management did.

It's not McNabb's job to get TO a contract. He played with Westbrook longer so their relationship isn't the same as it was with TO. Plus TO was sneak dissng him after the Super Bowl so why would he go to bat for him?

TO is on some ho shyt talking about DUI's and parties.

Dude a clown cause someone could mention TO back child support payments. Where he had to pay 20k to avoid jail time. His crying over his white baby momma. The owing 100k one year, 200k plus another year and 400k plus another year in backed taxes to the IRS. Or his multiple home foreclosures.

Above the fray.
Lets not forget this is almost 20 years ago. At the time there were only 4 starting black QBs. shyt and lets be real the racist whites and some black sell outs didn't want Mcnabb as their QB (which is ironic the eagles ain't had a QB as good, having the availability and playoff success since mcnabb was traded). Mcnabb had to deal with racist WIp, all the hit pieces and folks wanting him gone. While at the same time being the most successful black QB (stats and playoff success in league history at that time). Who can remember that bull shyt with Rush Limbaugh.

Don't forget TO would go on TV and echo some of the racist talking points about Mcnabb. Thats why I can't even defend TO...his history of going 110 on ex black players but going light on these white folks (outside of skip) just sticks out for me. The crying over Romo that cowboys game was even over the top. So what he got at Valley Ranch from that racist ed warder and ESPN leaking stories was TO's just deserts.

Let's give people a refresher course on that Limbaugh angle (he also threw a jab at the Rooney Rule)

Media trolled RL when Mcnabb won in the playoffs that year

Dawkins was actually supportive of :to:

:mjpls:

Yeah dawkins supported both TO and Mcnabb during that situation (and he even supported the organization).

But thats easy as a defensive player. The media gonna ask you one question and move on. Now a starting black QB....hell no. They about to ask you for million questions. I mean who can forget all the police shootings and kneeling. And how the media ran to every starting black QB and asked them to do a dissertation on the matter.

Yep shyt was disgusting and ESPN was never truly called out for hiring his ass. They were trying to get ratings and when it backfired they tried to pull the plug and act like Rush when off the tracks. When he did exactly what they wanted.

I remember there was this discussion on whether Limbaugh was fired or resigned. ESPN said he was fired and Limbaugh would later go on his show and say he resigned.

That situation with Limbaugh, the situation with Kanye and Taylor Swift and Janet/Timberlake at the superbowl. Are all examples how the media tries to push certain live on air reactions for ratings. Then when the live reaction is something that isn't PC or that the public doesn't like. The media then tries to act shocked and pretend that this live act wasn't what they wanted....when actually it was. It was just the public reaction wasn't what they wanted.

One more thing Andy and lurie should not escape without the majority of blame. They know they traded for a nut who wanted to get paid. TO felt he was underpaid in SF.

TO also mentioned that the team gave him some sort of promise to pay him after coming back from a broken leg.

Look TO is a ass hole and a bytch. But we all know the eagles been cheap as shyt since before I started watching the NFL. They were cheap when that b*stard Norman Braman (son of a bytch never got cunningham line help and let most of the defense go once free agency started) and they been cheap since lurie has owned them.

Who can forget how every season with Mcnabb the eagles would be 20 mill under the cap. Plus we all know the reason they got rid of mcnabb because they had cheaper options in Vick and Kolb. And who can forget that erasable ink 100 mill bull shyt contract Vick signed with them..:mjlol:.

Man fukk that white boy lurie. I will never forget that interview when they signed vick. Talking about Vick needs to show some level of self hate.

good point, every discussion topic on a sports show is planned ahead of time.....so the bigwigs knew what rush was going to say, as did the panelists

rush is a piece of shyt with an agenda
mcnabb wasn't a multiple time probowler when that segment aired because "the media was pushing a narrative", nah their fellow players and coaches selected the rosters back then.

"the media is desirous that Blacks QBs and coaches succeed"

Jim Kelly and Marv Levy lost 4 straight superbowls and I bet Rush never commented on that.

rush was a fukkin loser speaking to an audience of losers who needed somebody to look down on..............

Well said. You are exactly right these panelist sit down with the producers before the show and hammer out what they are going to say. Just like that dumb ass Rob Parker said that disrespectful shyt about RG3. Which he ended up losing his job for talking bad about RG3 white woman and not RG3.

Anyway ESPN suspended (and later fired) Rob and so he went out guns blazing saying he repeated the same thimg with the producers before the show and they were fine with it. Which goes back to our point. The media knows what these folks are gonna say and are cool with it until the shyt hits the fan.

Does anybody like McNabb?

I was thinking the same thing. Remember a few years ago when he said some slick shyt about Wentz and got reprimanded by Jane Johnson. When former players become pundits, they say dumb shyt in order to portray themselves as impartial/fair when discussing their former teams/franchises/etc. It's like an ESPN approved heel turn ritual that completes the process of former players becoming thoughtless talking heads. Given the shyt McNabb had to deal with from media and former players, you'd think he would be more respectful of Wentz but nah. Dude is an a$$hole and clearly a lot of people agree.

I wasn't on the coli at the time, but gonna go back and read the threads about him throwing RG under the bus.
I wrote Parker off because I was uncomfortable with what he was implying about "what Black is", but his podcast with Chris Broussard is hilarious.

You have an interesting take about T.O....his "shytting on QB act" ended in Dallas because everybody knew that Jerry loved Tony Romo. He threw Jeff Garcia under Candlestick Park, though.

I think TO should have been handled the way Phil Jackson handled Shaq. They gave Shaq touches early in the game to establish the post and keep him engaged. Otherwise he would pout and complain. Knowing the hothead that Owens was, feed him on the first series so he won't cry as loud for the ball throughout the game.

Disagree. Many players liked Mcnabb. shyt Ray Lewis and Ed Reed literally called out Reid for benching Mcnabb in that ravens game. Which actually helped forced Reid to start Mcnabb the next game. Then other players joined in and called out reid for benching mcnabb. The black players literally said how can you bench him after all he has done for that team. You had Lewis and Reed actually calling out Reid for his playcalling and saying he was setting up mcnabb for failure.

Second I am sure the wentz shyt is also about how racist the city is when it came to him being the starting QB. Plus how the city elevated Wentz into the best Eagles QB ever after his first year. That city has never truly embraced Mcnabb even when he was taking them ungrateful ass holes to conference championships.

This is literally a fan base who criticized this brotha on how he cleared his throat during post game interviews.

With TO in Philly I don't think it would have mattered because they would have never torn up the contract and renegotiated (which was their motto no renegotiating). So he still would have bytched and pouted and moaned.

Yeah he could never have done that shyt in dallas because the dallas media was different. They were not going to side with TO over their QB. In other words the Dallas media loved Romo...his interceptions and all. Where as in Philly they started and ended their hate with Mcnabb. WIP and the rest used Mcnabb as their whipping boy (racist connotation included on purpose). Nothing he did was good enough and the white back up was always considered better and their pick to be the starter.

I have argued before that Mcnabb was the shield for Reid. Reid's career would have been far shorter in Philly with out Mcnabbs talent to make something out of nothing and the media having the bulls eye on Mcnabb since the day he was boed and drafted.

@Get These Nets also brotha I wanted to add that Mcnabb had to go public to ask for help (which got him TO) after the 3rd NFC championship in a row. No white QB would have ever have to go public to beg their owner, GM and coach to get them help after 3 straight conference championships and multiple probowls playing with 3rd and 4th string WRs.

They would have gotten that white QB help after the first conference championship if not the very first playoff run.

That is the racism black QBs dealt with in the past and still to this day.
