I didn't post this up because I didn't think HL would care, but in the wake of her Wall Street Journal article (I'm sure her sister working there in the past had nothing to do with her being a 17 year old getting her rant thrown in there) and her appearance on the Today Show, we talked about it a lot. I don't know what her scores were or anything like that, I never really looked into it.

But people were like, "I wonder what average college she is going to end up going to that got her so mad."

*Looks to see where her whining ass is going instead*

*Finds out she's only going to Michigan.*

I'm hoping there is a petition to revoke her admission into the University of Michigan. That bytch does not represent the school at all. Its a character issue. When I found out about it I was pissed.

IMO we do need the affirmative action to make up for the way in which the new deal screwed over black/"brown" people. but i think we are at a stage when even liberal americans have drawn a line of redistributive justice, which says we are all for marginalized groups' rights -- right to vote, right to be gay, right to immigrate, etc -- but we will not talk about addressing very recent injustices and their effects. we're too far gone.

As someone who is half Italian, half German I don't know what you are implying... Those Jews had it good, we gave then shelter, we gave them medicine, we gave them food, and they just up and left one day without saying thank you or anything!



But bytches need to stop their crying cause they aren't going to do anything in life but lay on their backs, pop out a couple of kids for some dudes making money and be stay at home moms who don't want to go to work. I have a friend where he was chasing this ugly bytch for years trying to holla at her and she wouldn't give him the time of day, then one day she hears that he is getting deployed and decides it's ok to date him while he's overseas, so he comes back and he's been putting all his money into an account that she had access to and he has no money left, then he wifes up the bytch and she pops out a kid for him and while he's all over the country for training with the military he comes home and finds that she's had secret credit cards that she didn't tell him about and racked up 20k in debt basically, so what does this motherfukker do... he blames himself instead of the bytch who's been going behind his back.

Conjecture? Simply not true. Social standing doesn't factor into it outside of the parent's, and even then, it depends on class. For instance, my mother and most of the kids I grew up with have a negative view of higher education and generally believe me to be a snob...or, as Big Gipp would say, "they just don't understand" the difference between a state school and an elite University.

I'll assume by "Ivy League pedigree" you're referring to the top-20 schools in the nation regardless of athletic conference (Stanford, UChicago, etc.). While there are examples of highly successful individuals who did not attend top institutions, most either attended or graduated from one.
