I think they said he's getting his own TV series.
It's going to be a web series last I heard.

But I wouldn't get your hopes up about this being set up in the Arrow/Flash-verse. Producers have only ever said it's possible.

So... Titans / Birds of Prey

They did what I expected and cast to power types that require no to minimal special effects. I knew beast boy was :camby: cause of the effects budget and cyborg was off-limits cause of jla.

The only special effects at all are going to be lighting effects for starfire added in Final Cut.
Raven is just gonna be doing the 'two fingers on each of her temples generic psychic pose' all show. Calling it now.
The other 4 have no visual powers.

:snoop:

No black characters at all though?:why:

I'm out.
Not even watching the pilot.
If you were to read the character sheet for Flash and Supergirl you would think the same thing yet we got The whole West family turned into black people on Flash and Jimmy Olsen became a black guy on Supergirl.
For all we know Robin/Nightwing could end up being black on this show.

True. I'll take a look at the casting when its in. But if there are no black characters on the hero roster, I'm out. Not black adjacent characters or black henches and supporting characters... Not doing it for me. If one of those six isn't black, I'm throwing it in the bushes, cause there are like 10 black titans that they skipped over to select that roster in the first place. Even if they couldnt use Cyborg you still have Bumblebee, Herald, Rocket, Skitter, Static, Blackqualad, Pantha, Hotspot, Tatoo Man... and thats just black characters that are actually on the Titans roster. Oracle is not even a titan.
:why:

I feel like If these shows aren't gonna try and cater to me as a fan, I'll simply stop being one.

I own over 2,000 physical comics. I have so many comics they have their own room. There is no furnature in there, just shelves I had to put up. But I feel underappreciated by these tv shows lately, man.

I watched the pilot to Agent Carter and bet my friend either there was gonna be no black people and he's like nah they'll be at least one. And I was like watch they kill him or make him a villain or some bs if there is.
15 minutes in they kill the one black dude and I'm up $10

At least all the white characters didnt thumbs up and celebrate after they shot him like in the SHIELD pilot, but I mean at some point I have to draw the line.
Thats all I'm saying.

No it isnt.

You should go back and watch Teen Titans cartoon (prequel to GO!) It is aimed at a much older audience and will make you actually care for the characters in GO!
GO! is aimed at young kids, as you probably know by now.

But this is what Teen Titans (without the GO) looks like. Very good show.

:ohhh: That's whats up.

I was still confused that Raven (I think is her name) has a "human face" outside her mask. I thought she was some spook (since her pops is a demon)

Nah, she's alive. They explain her demon origin in the cartoon (the original, not GO).
Also :salute:for watching tv with your kid, breh.
Gotta make sure you know what they are looking at nowadays.

“Titans” TNT pilot from DC Comics now entitled “Blackbirds”

SECOND UPDATE: The show is now entitled “Blackbirds” and the shooting is expected to start in the summer, in Toronto. With the upfronts coming soon (TNT is on May 13th), more information should come out. Will Roy Harper/Speedy (Colton Haynes) be a part of it after leaving Arrow? It’s very likely…

UPDATE: The pilot will be shot more precisely this spring! Cast announcements will happen shortly.

A couple of months after the rumored pilot order by TNT -which has never been confirmed by the network so far- Geoff Johns , one of the writers of Titans, answered to a fan on Twitter that it will be shot in 2015.

The Warner Horizon project adapted from DC Comics’ famous Teen Titans series focuses on dikk Grayson, who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new super heroes including Starfire, Raven and many others. Probably better suited for the CW, which has already found success in Arrow and The Flash, Titans is the clear proof that TNT is looking for younger viewers after the cancellations of Dallas, Franklin & Bash and some others that struggled to attract the demo. The channel ordered mostly supernatural drama pilots, since their last successes are genre shows Falling Skies & The Last Ship. The casting process onTitans has already started. The question is: will the superheroes stay teens in this version? Not so sure. The shorter title already looks like a clue…
