TNT's "Teen Titans" TV Show official thread (1/7/16 update: Dead)

I think this show has a lot of potential, I didn't watch Teen Titans back on Cartoon Network but my sister was a big fan of the show.

TNT has been slacking lately in terms of shows, only show I really watch on there is Falling Skies and even that can be pretty meh at times.

It is crazy to think how DC maybe struggling against Marvel at the movies, but when it comes to animation and now live action TV shows they seem to be leading the charge. Assuming that Gotham, Flash, Supergirl turn out well, along with this.

I guess Marvel does have those Netflix shows which might turn out to be really good and I like Haley Atwell and the creators behind Agent Carter.

Kinda surprised that Warner Bros didn't push for a Teen Titans before Smallville and Birds of Prey. Teen Titans' comics always felt kinda like a teen drama show to me

Teen Titans Go sucks and is a disgrace compared to the original Teen Titans that showed on Cartoon Network.

Hopefully this new series does it justice after that abomination.

I doubt they are going to use Cyborg.
DC is trying hard to market him as a Justice Leaguer, and him being on Titans wouldn't help that.
I'm guessing no Superboy/Supergirl since they are trying to give her a show... and many of the batman characters will be off-limits because of Gotham.

So my guess would be
Nightwing, Starfire, Raven... Terra, these characters are easy to do screenwise... don't know if they can use Impulse with the Flash having a series now or Wondergirl or Tempest with them trying to do a WW and Aquaman pilot. I don't think theu can use Arsenal cause of Arrow... so a lot of people are gonna be embargoed.
I feel like they will try and insert beast boy because he is a fan favorite, but if the budget for the show is not great he is gonna be underused or poorly executed so that could backfire.
They are gonna have bumblebee or herald or somene like that to feel the african void not having cyborg leaves.
The best thing they could do... I really hope they are smart enough to remember they can use Static.
I hope they use Blue Beetle also, cause he's hispanic now and also a teenager.
They might be able to get Zatara to finish off the roster.

Villain wise... Klarion, the Brain, and Blackfire if starfire is confirmed. Its too bad Deathstroke is already on Arrow. That really screws them up since the shows are on different networks and are not linked.

Hopefilly they don't start making up "new" charachters... that would suck.

Original Titans had witty fun flair yet balanced it out with a serious cohesive plot

I'd bet on WB banking on the already-popular roster of the animated series more than anything. And probably bring in new members/characters as the series progresses.

Sounds good, but they should have made a live-action Teen Titans movie. That could do some serious numbers with this young generation.

Either way DC is putting out mad television shows now, and I'm not mad

And if no Cyborg, maybe Aqualad? I don't think DC has got plans for him anyway
