Incredible article as well as a stinging rejoinder to the "drop identity politics " liberals and fake socialists who profess to be allies but think that a $15 minimum wage will magically solve racism. It's why whites of all political stripes hide behind economic anxiety as the prime mover behind Trumps election but this premise is severely flawed: whites thought a man who could not secure a car loan from an American bank and whose primary attribute was firing people from a fake company was somehow gonna solve that economic anxiety? shyt is laughable on its face. They are loathe to blame racism but somehow insist that despite their friends and neighbors voting for an avowed bigot, these people are somehow magically not prejudiced! I also don't want to hear the phrase " but under Obama, the Democratic party lost over 1000 seats." People know damn well why there was such a loss during Obama's tenure and it solely comes down to race: Obama governed as a socially liberal moderate, pursued a fundamentally conservative free market driven reform of Health care that once was the Republican party's idea of reform but under Obama, became unbearable socialism and tyranny. If this was ancient Egypt, they would knock the nose off of his statue.
