Hope for a speedy and full recovery, can’t imagine what the family going through. I hope these clout chasers don’t try and release footage of him at his lowest point and let the kid and his family heal in peace. There’s always someone recording.

Feel terrible for him. Likely one of those underlining medical conditions that slips through the cracks because 18/19 year old athletes (and most young people in general) are never going to undergo ECG tests unless something feels wrong with their heart/chest. Otherwise they just have their regular physicals.

Regardless of who his parents are, just to be that close to what i imagine was still a childhood dream, and now depending on the medical tests that may be over, that's tough. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of it.

It doesn't have to make sense.

Within some environments the heart can't handle certain levels of stress.

Sad to see, wonder if this will affect him long term or not i wouldn't know since i'm not a doctor. I know one player Jared Butler has a heart condition and he's in the NBA too.

This is going to be nasty work. The conspiracies around this will surpass the ones around MJ's pops when he was murdered.
:scust:

I'm sitting this one out. Can't imagine this happening to your kid at that age... no matter what may have caused it.

Do not be surprised if he cannot play competitive basketball again. Hyprotrophic Cardiomyopathy is heavily possible.

I have it too, genetically, but really really mild. I found out from a scan in my 30s because some palpitations I thought from stress, turns out I have it very mildly. Would have never suspected, as I played sports and never had anything happen thankfully.

Now, Im told when I feel my heart racing during exercise, just take it easy, because my case is very mild.

My heart tops out at however many beats a minute, it doesn't keep going higher, like a normal person. People with normal to severe hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, their beats just keep raising and raising until it just can't beat anymore, that's what causes cardiac arrest
Honestly he doesn’t have to play ball competitively again… He’s good regardless.. But thank god he will make a full recovery

There's a young breh on SCs team right now that had an event and came back to play by the end of the season, just depends on why it happened
