I personally know of two people that died from cardiac arrest while hooping. Both happened years ago an both were around the same age as Bronny so this certainly isn't some "new" phenomenon. I remember this cat name Shannon (nikka was super nice) that used to hoop at the high school I went to and bruh just dropped on the court one day. shyt had everybody shook because none of us could understand how that shyt could happen to someone like him.

High level athletes can potentially have issues with the left ventricle of the heart. It’s not uncommon, I remember stuff like this happening in the late 90’s. A soccer player collapsed during a game and they discovered an issue with his left ventricle. IIRC it’s called Athletes Heart. All the strenuous activity can cause hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Basically the heart muscle thickens, it’s nothing new just that it’s being sensationalized to fit the anti-vax agenda.
