In a real fight Conor would be doing the toying. Kick to the thigh. Kick to the rib. Kick to the head. Tackle. Slept.

What does a " real fight" mean? Anyone can get slept with a punch.

Conor gets served now the goalpost gets moved. He called Floyd out in Floyd's own sport...but now that he lost it's " but he can submit him doe".

When has Floyd called out specific UFC/MMA fighter in their sport...trained under their rules in their organization?

The Truth

The difference in the reaction between Black and White viewers is pretty staggering :mjlol:

As you expect most Black folks were for Floyd, and most White were for Conor.

Bruh the difference is amazing

Like I said, American whites almost NEVER root for the black Americans fighters as a whole. They are almost always the "villains"

Anybody in their right mind wouldn't have thought Conor had any chance. Yet these clowns were legit betting on Conor, betting against Floyd, and legit upset/surprised when dude lost despite every NON-casual boxing head could see Floyd carried this dude in the fight

Regarding of the boxing vs mma topic

we boxing fans usually don't care about who would win a street fight and such he thing is whether you prefer MMA or boxing pretty much boils down on what do you like better: one element of fighting in a perfected form or a little bit of everything but usually on lower skill level?

there are multiple variations, an easy guide:

if you prefer more variety but you also very much prefer stand up fighting then you can watch kickboxing/muay thai or karate, these pretty much halfway between the first category, the purist combat sports (boxing, wrestling, bjj, judo) and the second category, the high variety, jack of all trade/master of nothing sport which is MMA

if you prefer more variety without having any problem with ground fighting then you can watch MMA

if you prefer one art mastered then you can pick between boxing, judo, bjj, wrestling, depending which form of fighting you like the best.

of course you don't have to pick jut one you can like all of the I just say this is how t boils down

I for one like to see stand up fighting in a perfected way and that's what boxing can give. In MMA the technique looks sloppier and feels more like luck plays a bigger role than in boxing. I'm not saying this as a diss, it can happen that there are very good boxers competing in MMA - although it must be rare cause money wise elite boxing is better - but even then they can't use those skills the same way they could in a boxing match cause they have to deal with many other things.

so I can see why someone prefers MMA but I also have my clear reasoning why I prefer boxing. I'm gonna say it though that with the more polished skills boxing also has a lot deeper talent pool

MMA s going in the direction when there will be an "MMA fighter" not fighters with different backgrounds with huge gaps in skills in different departments of their fighting. I guess it's more and more will be about athletes who will be good in everything but not a master of anything and fighters who are only the master of one element will die out from there.

Exactly...you either like a fine dining steakhouse or grab a steak at a golden corral but love the buffet

The good news is with a minor touch up this can accurately reflect Conor's record of 0-1

Anyone here ever boxed before? I always wanted to try it just cause. Not looking to actually step in the ring but just learn basics. Would I look dumb at 30 years old picking up gloves for the first time? :flabbynsick:
Try Title Boxing gym at first. (Soccer moms and HS kids love it. There is no ring -- just 60 long bags in 1 room.) Also jog/run 2-5 miles daily to build stamina.

THEN graduate to a boxing gym with a boxing ring for grown men.

And 30yo is too damn old to worry about looking dumb in front of strangers. Be like Trump. Do as you please. Man, fukk the perceptions and opinions of others! /(*-*)/

Being an MMA fighter is tough but what people need to understand is this.

There is no way in hell a guy like Lensar would ever be a HW title holder...you don't just "make the jump" to pro boxing.....you can literally be killed.

You would think after the Ronda fiasco and her "boxing" :mjlol: people would know better
