Floyd stuck to his gameplan. Whether it was the right move or not will be debated. Personally I dont think he should've gave Connor those early rounds. They gonna run with the narrative that Connor was expected to lose and lasting more than a few rounds is a W no matter what. He showed Connor way too much respect by sticking to his regular game plan. If you're gonna take this match then shut him down completely instead of giving him something big to hang his hat on. Floyd is 40 years old, sure he could have came with more offense but he tryna preserve himself too. If he go with more offense he takes a more risk of doing damage to himself and what not. It's better he fight technical the way he does. Even if it doesn't look better.
