I don't know where to start.
Of the puppet movies, I liked the first two.
Not a big fan if animation but the joint that out in 2007 was straight.
As far as the live action, I saw what they were trying to accomplish with the first one.
Like the rest of these toy properties
we grew up with they are having a hard time catering to kids now and grown up kids from the 80s and 90s.
In my view, they should just make the live action joints for us, and let the parents complain like they did for the first puppet joint.
No interest in this new animated joint.

Was just reflecting after seeing another commercial. If you're an 80's/early 90's baby, it's absolutely wild to think that in that era where the Saturday morning cartoon / Playmate action figure craze was as big as Michael Jordan and the Bulls, the first movie we got was a live action, gritty as fukk version for teens and probably not 5-6 year olds, set in a pre-Giuliani NYC, where Shredder runs a crime ring for disaffected latch key children in the city

Way more natural personalities and chemistries
Funny AF
Great music
Graphic style was beautiful
Cons:
If The villains are the Utroms and Shredder, at least give a hint about they are so you'll have a good sequel bait.
Donnie took Most of Mikey's personality and spotlight
They basically removed the entire mythology.
Baxter dead.
Spliter was too pathetic.
I know it's an origin but their fighting was weak.
Made the other mutants generic allies.
