Last season is an anthology

Ahead Of 2D Reboot, Final Season Of Nickelodeon's TMNT Premieres March 19th With New Name, Concept - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movie, TV News
We reported earlier this month that Nickelodeon’s TMNT is getting a 2D animated reboot for 2018, which would have left the fifth and final season of the current show in a lame duck — or turtle — position. However, it looks like Nick has found the solution, dudes, because they’re rebooting the 20-episode Season 5 as Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, an anthology series that will explore “the seven biggest adventures in Turtle history:”

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012 TV series)
Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the fifth season of the 2012 Nickelodeon television series. It will revolve around the turtles facing various supernatural threats, and particularly on stopping the ancient evil Demodragon known as Kavaxas from destroying the earth. It will begin airing on March 19th, 2017.[1]

oh, nah

people was going to see that shti regardless

and people like the 2nd one a lot too and its more goofy like the cartoon

that mature tone wass a surprise
One of the main complaints about the second one is that it lost the semi serious tone.

Most TMNT sites talk about this.

Having mature references and tones the parents can recognize too is one of the ways to raise a shows/movies value.
