There's nothing "liberal" about eugenics according to what is taught in academia and going by the actual meaning of the word. What society views as liberal and what is actually liberal by sticking to the actual meaning are not the same.

Self-described liberals in the early 20th century were eugenicists. And other liberals loved them. It is what it is.
