But he had to keep the fire on to get a turnout, to get more people out of the bushes and on.

That's the dilemma, how much can you move to the middle and how will the turnout be on the end.

That's the thing though, all he had to do was keep his same stance but say it in a more covert way. He kept going to the same well when those voters already knew his stance and were riding for him anyway. Any of the previous candidates of the past 8-12 years could have stomped Hilary because they're politicians and understand how to switch positions
