Out of curiosity, what is your first language?

I often try to avoid painting with a broad brush....... but in my experience, people who have learned English as a secondary or even a tertiary language often have a more technical grammatical grasp of it. Regardless of their actual speaking fluidity.

Thing is, there's no way to know if it's true or not, one way or the other.

I'm for excellence when it's clear. Saying you have a 180 IQ is highly questionable, as is saying you're a Yale graduate, or a graduate from any other reputable university, but claiming someone can graduate with a D-. Reluctance to provide some form of proof. One can just tell; the signs are all there. But your opinion is your opinion.

I'm sure that's the case a lot of times because we might be more worried about making mistakes. It probably depends on that persons first language, like if the structure of their maternal language is similar to English etc.

I have a 150 IQ and let me tell you, having a 150 IQ is actually a terrible fukking thing.

Brb every time I missed a homework assignment or didn't get an A on a test in high school I'd get called into the Guidance Counselor's office and get the "you're too smart to be slacking off and pissing your life away like this" speech.

Brb want to go to a party school with my homeboy who was set to be the true freshman QB and live the life. Brb get sat down by the Principal, Board and Guidance Counselor about how I should be going to an Ivy League school, yada yada.

I hope for Amethyst's sake that it isn't true. I wouldn't wish a high IQ on anyone.
