finally finished up watching this card
jermell charlo-john jackson was ok...i actually thought he would win more convincingly..but this charlo showed some real struggle out until the KO..which was
..good shyt though..charles hatley is his mandatory (
at him running in after the wrong charlo)..and right now i def favor hatley to beat him
jermall charlo-austin trout was dope...i thought this would have deteriorated into a slugfest..that was not the case and i was pleasantly surprised..jermall is by far the more talented charlo and trout got props for really pushing the young kid all 12 rounds...i had charlo winning by 1..the 115-113 score i didnt mind..hell a draw was also feasible..trout is still a player at 154 and i liked how he mentioned for him to get at j-rock in the interview
lara-vanes - fight had slightly less struggle than the first fight..vanes continues show great improvement and he's still a contender to me...i only wish he doubled up that left hook he was throwing to the body..body up to the head..lara still gets all fidgety at the slightest bit of pressure but he was accurate...the only thing underrated about lara is he can punch..he marked up vanes good but the low activity though will continue to make fights closer than it should be..esp against someone who is being perceived as a lesser opponent (thats why he has that gift draw with carlos that he clearly lost)...he has a skillset but he is for certain not heads above anyone at 154..he's competitive..but not someone i would see being the antithesis to GGG's style other than his legs would prolly get him to last the distance
overall a good card...hopefully the first step in getting these nikkas at 154 to fight each other
