Let me ask you this. Can you name 1 future hall of famer on GGG resume ?

What's the relevance of these questions?

Are you arguing that if a fighter has a better resume they don't have to fight a fighter who has a lesser resume? If that's the case how is the fighter with the lesser resume supposed to build it?

Anyway off the top of my head, out of Lara, Canelo, the Charlos, and GGG....I can only think of three sure fire HOFers and they are all on Canelo's resume.

Two were old and shot and the other one boxed his head off for 12 rounds. Not sure what any of that has to do with my observations from Saturday night though

Can't ignore it because it's a huge part of the game.

It's easier for us to just follow what the media says, or the majority of twitter fingers. It's up to the individual to fully understand the business side to understand the why's and how's to this dirty game. Ignoring it is actually a dis-service to the boxers cause we all know if the fans knew better, the game might just change...



...or maybe not, but there's still a lot I don't know but the more I do know, the better informed I am, and the more intelligent I can respond to the "Why" or "How" questions from myself and others.

Or it can be used as a diversion to rationalize why fans should accept inferior match ups.
Fighters who generate more money have the leverage to cherry pick fights and possibly earn corrupt/influenced decisions in the ring.
It's not really rocket science. Educated fans demand more of the sport while understanding the payola and corruption there-in. I don't think anyone on this site is ignorant about what's going on. We argue the minutiae of matchups and negotiations of fighters the average american couldn't pick out of a line up on the internet for gods sake

I'm safe then....I held stead fast that Cotto wasn't "improved", just moved up & facing weaker comp at 160

Cotto looked to be in some of the best form of his career before that fight. It even showed in the fight. Not like he got blown out. He lost a pretty competitive boxing match. Best victory on Canelo's resume

True. He beat a one legged Martinez and Daniel Geale who was still recovering from getting smashed by GGG. But he still looked good against those guys.
It was competitive in that Cotto looked better than he did against Trout. But it's no denying Cotto been thru hella wars at that point and had his face smashed in with CTE by both Manny and Margarito
