If you look at the PC performace thread on neogaff the Xbox One is doing pretty well compared to the perfomace of the game on PC's with much more power.

I've been playing the game since launch and the performace issues aren't a problem when your playing. It's not like killzone where the shyt is constantly stuttering and slowing down. It stays at 60 for the majority of the time when your playing. It drops when shyt gets heavy, but at those times it's so chaotic on screen that the frame drops aren't really noticeable. It's never a "slideshow".

Why are you lying? The framerate dips constantly in this game

Ok, I'm dialing in the settings for my rig:

i5 3470
8GB ram
2GB 550 ti
1680x1050 native screen

This is what I have so far:

In the Nvidia control panel set the power management to prefer performance and enable vsync.

Use these settings for Titanfall

550%20ti%20settings.png

Shadow and model details are a killer for this card but impact marks and rag doll physics are CPU dependent. I get a pretty consistent 60fps on most of the maps I've played with a few exceptions but I haven't played LAGoon with these settings yet.

I'm going to experiment with setting texture size to very high as well as going with 4xMSAA when I have a chance.
550 TI came out in MARCH 2011!! :banderas: Had I kept my card I would still be able to play titanfall on par with the Xbox One. :banderas:

Meach really needs to face at how gimped the xbox one really is when it comes to gaming. When I heard titanfall was running at 792 based off source on a system that is x86 based...I knew the GPU had to be the culprit. What is an APU on the market equivalent to the xbox one? The new high end Kaveri? We should be looking at those for comparisons not people with full dedicated nvidia or AMD gpus IMO.

the xboxone IS APU based and it's been proven time and time again that the AMD architecture is aimed towards mid-level performance. The PS4 having what I keep hearing a 7850 is the biggest difference as I said it would. The CPU and RAM are almost always secondary when playing games.

You had cats on here argue with me that the CPU is just as important if not MORE important than the GPU in gaming and my observations when the Xbox/PS4 specs were released are holding true.

PS4 advantage is clearly in the games due to the better GPU and GDDR5 RAM.

The XBOX ONE advantage should be with multimedia/tv applications as I assume the DDR3 ram in there is running at super low latency and from what I remember it's CPU clocked a little higher.

None of this shyt should come at a surprise and Meach who has a gaming PC SHOULD know this, but refuses to accept the fact that on paper the xbox one looks like a nice htpc that can play games. The PS4 is a gaming machine that can do some media. Arguing these facts makes anyone look like a dumbass time and time again.

nikka please. The ps4 has the same CPU and a slightly faster gpu.

The ps4 couldn't run COD Ghosts at a stable 60fps and that game has much less going on than TitanFall.

Y'all need to quit with the ps4 so much stronger nonsense. It's not

Breh. stop it.
Digital Foundry is reporting that the perceived frame-rate drops in Call of Duty Ghosts on PlayStation 4 are actually skipped frames.

They have discovered the game “runs at higher frame-rates than 60fps on a fairly frequent basis, despite the video output being limited to 60Hz.” This causes juddering and skipped frames which are “far more noticeable than the drops down to 50fps found in the 360 version of the game.”

The new patch which renders the game in 1080P has reduced – but not completely eliminated – the times when the PS4 manages to output over 60fps. However, the trade-off for 1080p is the game now drops the frame rate slightly more than when it was running in a lower resolution. Digital Foundry say “at worst we’re looking at a drop down to 40fps when the engine is more heavily stressed.”

It seems like the PS4 is rather more of a beast than we had thought, if CoD can get the PlayStation 4 running over 60FPS in 1080P at a launch, heavens knows what that PS4 will be doing in a few years’ time.
:ld: I mean why just blatantly lie for?? Infamous running at 30fps at 1080P and is open world and the graphics are insane and here you saying we need to quit with the ps4 is much stronger 'shyt'?? No go tell Mark Cerny to quit designing stronger shyt. All them multiplatforms running at lower res and gimped framerate ain't for nothing.

Lemme guess this is all :duck: right??

I may not have the strongest eye for those types of things but it rarely drops to a point where it's noticeable for me except for when I'm in a titan battling multiple titans.

No it dips all the time. You right it doesn't last long like KZ of BF4 but the frame rate dip is noticeable every match

A 7850 equivalent to what is inside the xbox one is not a slightly stronger card. It is a significant increase. As I've said before, the PS4 with a slower CPU will still outperform an xbox one in games.

Just exactly how hard is it for you to understand this?

:what:Can you read. Your own link says it was running over 60fps before the 1080p patch. With that patch came drops to ~40 fps. And digital foundries final face off analysis had this to say.

"What's clear is that Xbox One enjoys smoother frame-rates - and a locked 60fps in multiplayer - while the native 1080p presentation on PS4 comes at the expense of an unfortunate, noticeable performance penalty."

Now I've posted this multiple times and each time y'all ignore it and call me a liar.

This is why sometimes I just can't take you seriously.

In this thread Meachthemonster will defend the Xbox One's technical analysis to all ends of the earth. Will he prevail and make sense? Will the Xbox One get stronger?? Is the PS4 not as strong as it is widely believe.?Find out....... on the next episode of....................

Yup. I prove you wrong and you jump to making shytty joke posts. As usual. Then next time you'll pretend none of this happened and we will do it all over again.

:ohhh: You mean the Xbox One version huh?
Word on the street from owners of the Xbox One edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts is that the Onslaught DLC and accompanying stability patch have been a significant setback for the game’s performance in multiplayer, and Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry has tested and confirmed some consistent frame drops in certain spots on the new maps.

stonehaven2.jpg

“Kicking off with a look at Stonehaven, it’s immediately obvious that things are not quite right. While the game does indeed hit 60fps in this stage, frame-rates are dramatically impacted when the whole level is in view, with metrics varying between 46-60fps as we run across the landscape,” Digital Foundry’s David Bierton wrote. “As frame-rates fall below the desired 60fps target, we also see the appearance of some screen-tear, adding some judder, making drops in smoothness more noticeable.”

DF also notes that looking down a sniper scope drops the framerate even further to nearly 30. On other new maps, they say any performance hits are less notable than those in Stonehaven, and that despite hyperbolic complaints from some folks the game is not “significant;y broken.” Patches that hamper performance are always sad, though.

Lie about patches for your own console brehs :heh:

So you're telling me the latest patch on Ghosts didn't effect the Xbox one version of the game?? :smh:
A 720p game with 40-60fps drops and yet you're pointing fingers at a 1080P version of the game exceeding 60fps. It's obvious that the game is both unoptimized on both consoles but the fact that it's still in 720p while the PS4 version got a update to 1080p says a lot but hey, stans gonna stan.

Nope, it's an argument I've had with @daze23 for years now and I've been correct in every level except of course for extreme performance...something which the xbox one and PS4 were not designed for.

An entry level AMD FX Quad with a 7870 will play games better than a super overclocked i7 with a 7750.

Best of all? The AMD FX and 7870 will be cheaper. Sound familiar to you? You don't know shyt about hardware breh. I suggest you check the PC thread to get a better grasp at how these things work.
