Tips on dunking

Am I close to dunking? How long before I can dunk?

If you can palm it than the rest is all plyometrics breh. Squats, calf raises, box jumps. For all your exercises lift lower weight and focus on explosiveness. And once you get high enough remember to be really aggressive when you tryna dunk in game. You should be seeing just you and the rim when you going up. I couldn't dunk at the beginning of the year and I just posterized a nikka a few days ago:pachaha:

When I was in high school squats, leg presses, and especially calf raises had me dunking in no time.

How much you weigh plays a part in getting up too.

I've been dunking for years. I'm damn near 40 and I'm only 6'0. Every year I dunk once just to prove I can (too busy to hoop). The year I can't is the year I'm officially :flabbynsick: lol.

Keys to dunking is being lean if you're short. 6'2 and under.

Also, snatch grip deadlifts from a platform (a few inches off the ground. Lift heavy. No more than 5 reps using perfect form. If your form breaks down you're done. You're not trying to win a strongman competition so don't act like it. Getting hurt will only set you back.

If you try it let me know how it goes. I could dunk off vert, 360, and dunk from the line right inside the free throw. And I can still dunk at 37.

I'm almost able to dunk, I'm about 2 inches away. I can grab rim and jump high enough that half of my hand is over the rim.

I've been practicing dunking and in almost there but th ball hot the rim and bounces off. I can Palm the ball no problem any tips on getting that last 2-3 inches on my vert?

I'm 5'6". At one point, I got pretty strong in my legs and I was not heavy, around 159 lbs. I started working on my vertical jump at the college gym. I got as far as getting the second digit of my middle finger touching the rim. When I realized I needed to be able to hold the ball above the rim, I quit. No way, I could get another 5 inches on a vertical jump since I can't palm. But really, I would need even more height if I wanted to air jordan dunk it with three steps so my apex would put the ball way above 11 feet. :mjcry:

I squat about 335 lbs I'm 6 ft and weight 193 lbs

Well, it depends on how much fat, and how much muscle you are carrying, what your frame is like.
I'm making some big assumptions, but I am guessing you could stand to lose maybe 13 lbs. of fat, which would help your vertical.

Was dunking off the vert yesterday :leon:
Tried some reverses after we finished running but I couldn’t get the ball all the way over the rim
Gotta start picking days to work only on dunking
My vert is too high for me not to be windmilling and shyt
These damn average size hands :snoop:
