That was a terrible move. Especially since Undertaker didn't retire after The Streak ended.

It was good for Brock tho. That made his match with Cena at summerslam hotter and then you had that on top of him beating the streak, which made Brock look unstoppable. And he became that dude. The problem with it was how they handled taker.

So Cal
But as the flagship guy for WWE... had he chosen Jeff Hardy to be THE top guy during that time, it's almost certain that Hardy would've had a Wellness violation or some other legal issue. It couldn't be depended on to that extent, sure he won the belt but he still wasn't being cast as the #1 star of the company.
Because he left. I'm sure he would've fukked up but Hardy was well on his way to being top guy, if he wasn't already. He was outselling Cena, before and after he left, got the biggest reactions, Vince went against his own rule to give him the belt.

At the creative team meeting several weeks ago, Stephanie McMahon was the only one to challenge Vince's idea of giving Jeff Hardy the WWE Championship, bringing up his own doctrine of a wrestler at a high risk of getting suspended receiving a major belt setting a bad example to the talent. Vince acknowledged the doctrine, but said in the short-term, his plan could work if Jeff handled the opportunity properly.

-going national during the territory days
-creating wrestlemania
-creating Monday night raw
-creating an environment where he had the final say on shyt. It's a fault, but also that structure does help keep shyt in line.
-putting his own personal bullshyt aside to let a fan favorite come back into the company. I'm sure there are a few here and there that he didn't want back at all though. But yeah dude wasn't afraid to bring back a dude like bret after getting swung on.
-putting himself in matches that weren't just short comedy squashes. Him, steph, and shane wrestling may be some "all in the videos"shyt, but it also helps squash a lot shyt with the boys when it comes to "I'd like to see you go out there and do it". Nobody can really talk shyt about the McMahons not going out there and having matches too. Shane diving off HIAC and shyt.

You're talkin' about havin' him win the belt... a lot of people won that belt during those peak Cena years... this does not mean he was positioned as THE top star of the company. That's even though he was outselling Cena with merch and winning the belt. Edge also had the belt, Orton also had the belt, so did Punk, Sheamus, even Batista, even HHH... but NONE of them were being promoted as the wrestler that represented WWE more than Cena was.

Actually it turned out that Vince liked Fandango and was a big fan of his, but fumbled it:pachaha:

Fandango was actually getting over as a heel ballroom dancer obsessed with the pronunciation of his name and they blew it because of the stupid post WWE crowd. :snoop:

If Vince was responsible for bringing Jericho in from WCW and giving him a chance to be a star, I'd say that.

It was never going to be a good idea to end the streak since it had become a legit draw on it’s own. Brock was more than credible already and they wasted the boost he got by using him as a plot device to try making Roman the top face who the crowd would like while not actually having Brock do anything that would warrant heel heat in the last 4-5 years. In fact they botched Brock so bad the last 3-4 years that I might argue it’s the worst they’ve ever wasted a heel’s heat. The Brock vs taker match should never have happened. They should have found some other way to get Brock heat for Summerslam.

Was a good move at the time IMO.

Was stupid to then give Reigns a win and was stupid with how they handled Taker afterwards.

After that Becky crap last night, was there a time where Vince was right with the direction of the company? We all like to shyt on Cokeboy because who wouldn't? The dude is a obtuse old bag of stale shyt left out in the gorilla, but there's no denying that he actually know what he's doing beyond the countless "WTF why is he doing this to A and B wrestler?"

For instance:

Fandango- Dude started out being just a joke character, but WM 29 happened and holy shyt "Fandangoing" was born:francis:. Not because Fandango did it or he was over AF, but because the crowd were a bunch of smarks that basically hijacked the show because I wanna get over, fukk the wrestlers":francis:. So Vince was like "You know what Pal, lets test this shyt since I'm right and their wrong":camby:.

The crowd was like:dwillhuh:, while Fandango was like :mjcry:. Checkmate WWE Universe:

Post some times where Cokeboy>>>>WWE Universe:smugfavre:
