Extremely sad read. RIP John Huber, strength to his family. Respect to all those who were supporting behind the scenes. And to all the healthcare workers who are dealing with this on a daily basis.

That was an incredibly tough read. By all accounts he had a solid life, but going out like that genuinely makes me wonder if it's all worth it in the end. I can't imagine the stress and panic he felt those last few months. Same thoughts when I read about Robin William's last few months.

Something similar happened with my mom in 2019 and it was a month and change of pure hell. Luckily she recovered but the doctors had no clue why she was so sick and were thinking she would need a transplant.
Months later they said she had Legionnaire's Disease which had us all like because she was a pre-school teacher who just goes to work, church and home so no one had any idea that would be what made her sick.

Does your mom do any gardening or keep houseplants? The bacteria that spreads that disease can breed in potting soil.

I assume Brodie didn't smoke, but this thing that happened to him came on so fast, and what once was 'Pneumonia' to 'End of Life' is such a shock to the person and the family.

At least with Cancer that EOL is a thing that could happen, with this, everyone could easily think this was pneumonia until it gets severe. It makes Brodie's death not much more painful, but probably one of the most shocking, if not the most shock 'non-accidental/drug related' death.

It makes you question in why we are born, why are we here to suffer like this when a good family man just suddenly gets this and passes. Maybe he did smoke or maybe it was a genetic per-disposition for it in the end, with mutated genes, but it still doesn't take away that Brodie, who was finally getting to show his talent, suddenly is told, "Hey your going to die."

Its very unfair.

As an aside, Brodie Jr wanted to be Orange Cassidy for Halloween. Amanda initially thought that was silly and that nobody would know who Orange Cassidy was, but one of Brodie's last words were "Go buy him a fukking denim jacket." Amanda hand-painted a Brodie Lee costume for Nolan to wear. They were especially looking forward to this Halloween, since it was going to be Brodie's first one home with the family.

Did get a laugh that of all the things that could have been his last words, it was Orange Cassidy related.

As big lucha was just one of my dark horse guys and my favorite big worker for this era.
Where i feel he never got a chance. On The grand stage to show. He was as good as a lucha as any one any size.

Just hard to think about a guy never getting to show the world what he was really worth on the grand stage. Is just hard to think about it. When you know these guys are grinding indie.
Then to make it given the change in the industry.
Plus his kids and wife are just a treasure to see on tv in short time. That it is like i wish brodie would have gotten his window to showcase he had goat potential as a big all time via workrate to character.

This and cicely tyson have just blind sided me. In a time where we have all been blindsided. On numerous levels. that have made things tough. from the sheer volume and frequency. Coupled with emotion.

Legionnaire's is found in fresh water. The bacteria can contaminate large air conditioners and water towers.

Read this yesterday and that sounds like the worst two plus months a family could ever go through. Wishing the Huber family the best going forward, and good on AEW, Big E and everyone else mentioned for being there to support them throughout this whole process.

I've had to watch a few family members have final days similar to Brodie's, and it never, ever gets easier to deal with. Glad to see that they're all (seemingly) holding up.

I am furious that Bruce Mitchell and his bullshyt speculations forced this woman to come out of her grieving to detail a time line that is nobody'sbusiness but hers and her children's. I am glad that a$$hole is canceled. Let's make sure he stays canceled. If he pops up on a podcast, we unsubscribe. If he starts writing for a website, we go elsewhere.

What’s crazy is that dude not only thought about that, but he wrote it down then proofread it and put it out. You mean to tell me nobody around him told him that wasn’t a good idea?
