Dugans turned down his alma mater and home town :mjlol:

I was kind of hoping he'd dip tho. he's a decent recruiter, but I'm not sold on him as a coach

cant agree breh

as a recruiter, he's landed us 2 elite WRs in Pope and Hightower for next year, as well as gotten a couple committed in 2019 and 2020. With his coaching, Braxton Berrios had a really good year, and even Darrell fukking Langham was productive in spurts.

Oh, and the WR blocking has been excellent since he's been here.

I know that our 2018 class is excellent and doesn't hinge on one recruit (especially a CB), but I'm really interested to see if Tyson Campbell picks us

this is the type of recruit we've been whiffing on (Patrick Peterson, Dalvin Cook, Sony Michel, Teddy Bridgewater, etc) that has set us back from being the old U. I think if he commits, it sends a strong message that the top dogs want to play for Miami again.

Pope came because of c00ney, his former high school coach that richt hired. hightower has an uncle that played for UM in the 90s, he been preaching miami since he was jit. I'm not saying dugans had no hand in their recruitment, recruiting is probably his best skill. as far as our receivers, there was a lot to be fukking desired outside of berrios. every one of them had terrible problems dropping passes. langham had 2 good games. even ahhmon was dropping passes consistently and not catching passes in traffic. blocking was the ONLY thing the corp was consistently good at. and as much as I like that, catching the ball, creating separation >>>>> downfield blocking.

i didn't say he was a bad coach, I said, I'm not sold on him yet. also, I don't like that richt seems to have nothing but yes men in those coaching spots on offense. his son(qb coach), dugans(played for him, like a son), brown(rb coach/co-oc) also played for him. I want someone in there that will challenge him.

would be a huge get, but I think he going to Georgia. they got the juice and they didn't flop on the big stage. :snoop:

wideout play was up and down all season but the playcalling and QB did them no favors. there were countless times where they had DBs beat. rewatch the pitt game again and you'll see braxton throw his arms up in disgust after he was open and rosier badly missed him:mjlol:
all those endzone fade routes richt called for berrios, harley and jeff thomas :why:

and ahmmon wasn't 100% all season, he was hurt more than stacy coley :scust:

The WR play was great. I know they had a couple drops but still think all the times they had to dive, change directions and slow down because of a bad ball thrown by Rosier. Our YAC should be way higher if Rosier actually hit some of our WRs in stride.

the only coaches I'm looking at with the :patrice: are Jon Richt (goes without saying, but apparently Nkosi really likes him so we'll see), Hartley (special teams was trash last year in all facets), and I would say Stacy Searles is approaching that level. I'll reserve judgment and see how the O-Line is next year but talent should not be an issue starting next year because we've recruited decently.

I actually think Rumph has done a good job, although I feel like I'm in the minority with that one lol. To me, Banda is the weaker secondary coach.
