gangstas paradise went triple
dangerous minds soundtrack went triple because of coolio.
that 6 millie from '95.

pac wasnt moving single-disc units like that.
biggie died as a double-platinum rapper........double platinum.:beli:

EDIT:
i forgot the '94 part.
coolio outsold pac & biggie in '94 too.

those 2pac albums werent plat in real-time. S4MN didnt go platinum until after he got shot & went to prison. 2pacalypse went platinum after he died.

and yea, biggie RTD eventually went double platinum in real-time, but he didnt really take off until '95. coolio outside him in 1994. RTD moved most of its units in '95. by that point, coolio had gangstas paradise out, and we already went over that.

Comparing album to album, Biggie went double platinum in 1995 off of his 1994 album, which was more than Coolio's 1994 album. Coolio's 1995 album went double platinum. So he wasn't really selling more.

Just like in 1995, Pac's MATW went double platinum as did Coolio's album from that year. So again, Coolio wasn't selling more. Other than Coolio had a triple platinum single, a platinum single, and some gold singles. He had one single that was more successful than theirs. Don't see how that automatically translates into Coolio selling more than Biggie and Pac.

and by the time biggie & 2pac started selling and went double, coolio was going triple off of two different discs at the same dam time.

youre just trying to be a hard-ass, per usual.

No he wasn't. Coolio's biggest album went double platinum in 1995. The single went triple.

And on that last part, I'm only bringing this up because nobody ever mentions Coolio selling more records than Biggie and Pac because it didn't happen. And when people mention rappers bigger than Jay rarely if ever are the singles (specifically the sales of singles) rarely if ever brought up.

You’re right about Coolio. That soundtrack debuted at number one and went triple plat in a few months 100% behind that Coolio song. So 3 million people bought the soundtrack, 3 million people bought the single, then another 2 million people bought Coolio’s album.
Unless I’m forgetting someone or some group, Coolio had to be the biggest rap artist/group/whatever in 95. And I’m including Bone in that because Bone had a whole second run in 96 with the remix.

with the exception of DMX, these were all commercial crossover rappers.

their cultural relevance didnt match their numbers.

OutKast dropped the same day as hard knock life outsold HOV and they were considered hardcore hiphop at the time. End of the day jay-z never been number 1. He just talked about all the reasons he was number 1.
“Outside dmx” no nikka why don’t we talk about dmx.

why don’t we talk about dmx coming at Jay-z head and jay-z copped pleas like a bytch.
Many body else spit this at Jay-z they would have gotten bodied.
Dmx got an apology.
Hov got Ethelred and sucked the Dade with Dmx while he was dissing lil
nikkas that were in Harlem world and prodigy after prodigy had a sickle cell attac that affected his ability to defend himself.
Jay-z too 3 but fukk em.
