I can't listen to music with drum machine sounds in it anymore whether it's an 808 or 909 or imitation sounds or whatever
This new generation of 808s (I call all synthetic drums 808s even if they're not Roland sounds) is especially bad... the snares are all pingy and annoying... the kicks are strangely high pitched and mixed too loud... and producers get cute and play melodies with their kicks
the biggest abuser of this kind of drum programming is Jahlil Beats... I see a lot of people biting tho
