Which is better, the govt telling you COVID shots are good and masks work or TicTok Joe telling you COVID shots causes cancer and masks will make you sicker?

I haven’t really dabbled into it but that’s not the point. Some would call TicTok “infrastructure”. If 150M Americans use tictok monthly, and more than 50% of Americans under 50 get their new from it, it can be considered infrastructure.

China can and has literally told TicTok to not allow videos about the tribes it’s killing. China told the Hilton to fire an employee because he liked an organization that supported Taiwan’s independence. The post had nothing to do with the cause.

The point is, tictok can adjust its algorithm to the behest of a Country. A country that American fears, hence the ban. Is it right or wrong?

Twitter has done the same for Trump this year. Will the Feds go after Twitter?

The game is rigged regardless. Let Americans use the app and whatever consequences come from it…

The whole “ban TikTok” movement was started by Trump as part of his trade wars with China during his first term…

But now one of his biggest donors is a major TikTok investor so that’s why Trump hasn’t said anything about it anymore. Will be interested to see how this plays out.

Breh I wish I had that shyt during Covid. People don’t realize that tik tok is its own ecosystem with a huge commerce footprint aside from content creation.

it’s Amazon, Insta, X, Blue Sky, Reddit, Pinterest, All rolled into one. There are boot camps for every conceivable cert. or career field there. All kinds of educational, political, social, scientific clips directly from the source.

It might be the largest gathering of entrepreneurs with legit crafts, skills and products on the internet.

If you’re a scroller, social media can be a detriment. If you’re deliberate and know exactly what you want to consume, how to find it and how much time you’re going to engage, it’s a wonderful tool… the Chinese have weaponized it in a way that American users will never grasp. It’s helped me to refine a few of my personal affairs for sure.

It wasn't just Democrats. It was both parties. And both parties were swayed by Israel.

It was definitely both parties, but big money and outside entities made them move either way during an election year, which would not have been in their best interest.
