Mayweather lost to Castillo. Bum shouldn’t even be in the GOAT conversation.
It's harder to dominate in golf like other sports. It's you versus the field, no such thing as superstar calls, no teammate to bail you out if your having a bad game, it's a four round tournament so you have to play well for 4 days.
It's really about how you perform vs the field.
Are you saying he overtrained? If dude didn't train like he was in DBZ he'd Gretzky the sport.
Yeah, there were stories of tiger woods training like a navy seal which led to the back issues that caused his golf career to be derailed. Are you saying he overtrained?
Sometimes leading yourself is just as hard or harder. Its hard for me to compare greats of different sports. In golf, there's no defense. And I know people like to prop up winners in 1v1 sports as greater athletes, but I can't as 1v1 sports miss out on the leadership aspect of team sports.

It can be, but I think the opposite can also be true. They both present their own challenges that I don't think make things as easy as "You can't rely on others", because for the greats in team sports is also "You have to motivate others"Sometimes leading yourself is just as hard or harder.
Both can be true. It isn't one or the other. But I think individual sports get downplayed more than propped up in this regard. It can be, but I think the opposite can also be true. Interesting, I felt the opposite, cause whenever people bring up boxers or tennis players, they talk about how they don't have to lean on others. Both can be true. It isn't one or the other. But I think individual sports get downplayed more than propped up in this regard.
