In fact if you just removed the skits and 2/3 filler tracks it's an absolute classic imo.

It was like a mix between prime Wu and prime Mobb Deep production. It was super clean, super dark and meth was spitting flames.

Im surprised this don't get as much credit as it should.

The Donald trump skit made me reminisce too... Back when man's weren't programmed to think about people on some status quo shyt... He was a NY donny that made money and didn't give a fukk so they aligned with him.

There had to be a deal cut to get other names on the album instead of all rza , because the blackout! Beats by rza/math sonically sound like they were stripped from this. You can tell by the subject matter. Cerial killer? Bombs dropping? Those are tical 2 songs.

Take off all non wu songs and non song skits.except for cradle rock thats a vintage tical beat. I throw spazzola on Uncontrolled substance as it fits the albums vibe way more and he needed the feature more. Even sweet love/supa ninjaz… supa ninjaz is a straight tical beat if i ever heard and sweet love woulda fit nicely on caps album.

Maybe additional collab tracks like the worst, n2gether now , true, grand finale, 4321, gunz n onez and bulworth (great paired with the trump skit now, almost too good).

That album is as close to 5 mics as meth gonna get with top production to boot. Easily meths best. Sonically a better “tical” album than t2 ended up.

But as is, retail versions… T1 > T2

Even nyc everything would fit well with suspect chin and perfect world and judgment days synth style.

All these songs are good. Pick ya fav 13-18 and thats commercial/dark t2 Classic album. Cut to your hearts desire but those are like the absolute best meth songs of the 97-98 era.

Wu elements. Muggs. Premier. Havoc.

Def jam carved this album up its obvious. Used meth to lead the def jam 2000 campaign and hype the upcoming red/meth album, osts and other artists.

Nope. It's a solid album, but it starts going into too many directions. Keep the darker tracks to fit the theme, do some resequencing, and maybe we have a 4.5. But 4:21 is close to classic for Meth, and that's about a 4 as well.
