Though some women prefer taller guys, its not always a factor. I have given serious thought to shorter guys. Their height wasn't why we didn't work out. They didn't act like their height mattered either or my height bothered them. Confidence is key. Hang in there or just chill out.

Second get yourself in a self defense class like BJJ or boxing or something. I say this because no matter what, you got to learn to handle yours to a certain degree so people won't assume that because you're short that you're also. You chinese, so I would assume you've done some form of Martial Arts before, get back into it, you could meet a chick there who is impressed by your style...

he's right though.. you have to have things going for yourself and extreme confidence. Let it be known that you're a man always on the move, always doing something. Women will want to align themselves with you bc of of this +your confidence+ your success.

Most of those guys on Bodybuilder build up their bodies to compensate for their lack of self esteem. They still never get it.
Leg extension surgery does exist
shyt seems too much. Plus that would put me out of commission for 12-18 months and would fukk up my career. I would then be at 5'6 and jobless. Not a good gamble from my perspective.

No, not unless there was an extreme height difference. I am saying my preference is taller guys but I have talked to shorter guys before. I gave serious thought about a future with them regardless of my preference. Saying to OP height doesn't always matter even for women who like taller guys.
