:jbhmm:i'm still trying to figure out who are these "old people" so preoccupied with dishing out unsolicited advice
..but let's assume you are swamped with people neglecting their own lives just to shower you with attention

if it's someone known to you.. then it should be simple to assess the validity/value:childplease:

and if it's a stranger??
that's like being upset over finding nonsense in your spam folder:shaq2:
because they don't know you and you don't know them

This is why I say, never listen to to black elders....your life will pass u by....their life blueprint is this

- go to college

- Get a job

- Be subordinate to some middle aged white guy that look like a horse with the personality of a pack of gum

- work at the same job for 50 years straight, out of fear that u might not never find another job

- get married to a bad partner because u might not find nobody else

- spend your money and take out loans to by shyt u can't afford , just to impress a bunch of fukking strangers ... Who don't even care , because they're worried about their own survival

- live a life of a slave, being in debt, trapped in a bad relationship, and pray to white Jesus that u don't lose your job

That's why I see never listen to them, follow your heart, roll the dice. There is no blueprint for life, u just gotta figure out what u want and go for it. Life is a numbers game, u just take chances and whatever happens, happens

Playing it safe is really one of the saddest mistakes ppl make. My family personally were afraid to gamble accept my cousin and uncle, guess who had the most success? My cousin and uncle!

I'm thoroughly convinced that the safe route is a trap and that ppl are imprisoned by their own fear. U gotta get over that fear, trust me I've taken many L's, rejection, I'm still alive...failure is a learning experience....

To all the young ppl, don't let nobody kill your dream, anybody that say something is "unrealistic" really is a nothing but a punk and a coward...they're projecting their fears on u...with the internet u can research how to do whatever u want...u just really gotta want it bad, now that I can't help u with, u gotta dig deep within for that part.

That old way of doing things is over, the millennial generation is changing the game, because we want freedom. Nobody want to get up and go to the same building for 50 years str8 ... That's called insanity
I see exactly what you're saying. I mean don't get me wrong, general life advice you do gotta take heed, because there are universal truths that will never change regardless of the times, and that's game you gotta absorb....but as far as money, success goes, you gotta take a lot of shyt with a grain of salt because 1. Times have changed quite a bit since they were starting out as far as working/school/etc goes., and 2. You gotta look at what they would have to show for anything if they wanna preach these types of things, and if they don't A. Own a business or B. Have enough clout to either get you on someone or connections to point you where the money is, I'd bush their advice on that shyt :camby: Sorry, but it's not as simple anymore as, nor is it everyone's dream to beg the white man for job then get in where you fit in and hold on to that same spot for dear life, being satisfied with it as if you feel you were fortunate enough to be blessed by white daddy to get table scraps. It's all too easy to just say "Go to school, git a gud job!", when even positions in law aren't even hiring like that nowadays :mjpls:

@DrX :banderas: Your spirit is so beautiful.

So many people are given this advice and do nothing with it. That's why I always say for those who understand how success works, run with the knowledge and then teach it to the babies. Most of these grown people are stuck in their ways and don't want to hustle for their lives. I'm sure you will get plenty of complaints about how "that doesn't work for everybody."

I just came fro the hospital to see my grandma, i made a thread while back saying she was in ICU....will basically shes about to pass away....its sad by she did live a long time, some ppl dont make past infant stage....but my point is...u never know when ur gonna go, so u might as aswell find a lifestyle that will make u happy....and anybody can do that with all the technology we have .....just gotta chase that shyt with no fear

I literally just observed an autopsy for the first time today and although I see people die or in the process of dying all the time..this one just made me question life for the rest of the day. So many people take life for granted and worry about things that won't matter once their gone. I've always been conscious and actively chasing my dreams but today smh I realized we aren't shyt! It made me question what we are here for because once we die our bodies remain but our energy is what died. That leads me to think that all we are is energy/spirit/conscience , we are here to share our energy with the world and to receive positive energy by using our minds to shape our reality into something that brings us Life and Happiness. Sometimes it's hard getting to that point but to me simply existing without happiness is just like waiting to die because it's going to happen regardless of fear or failure, so people need to get busy failing upward towards happiness/success or get busy dying. Follow your heart and overcome the obstacles you WILL face or live in fear due to stories of someone else's failures.
