I work one block away from the Capitol. I noticed there was a lot less foot traffic at the lunch spots over here today. There was a sense of doom in the building as well. I had a chat with an old timer in the elevator today. He told me 96 was a bytch, cause they were forced to take days off, not only were they not getting paid for those days, but they couldn'nt really take advantage of the days off because in theory, the shutdown could have ended at anytime.
I know mad people saying they are going to call out sick if they have to work and not get paid just so they can get paid. Paid sick
