Part of me wants this and a default so the country can see how idiotic they were in electing these extremist. No pain no gain.

A lot of Republicans don't care if there's a shutdown because there districts were so corruptly gerrymandered they won't feel a hit at the polls. Also a lot of Republicans won't compromise out of fear of getting a challenger during the primary's. Look no further than that turtle Mitch McConnell

Friend, they dont want that problem. There is no way the gov is going to shutdown because when friends arent getting those checks their used to, its easy to point the finger at an individual and that individual, doesnt want that problem.

Perhaps if they downsized the federal government (i.e.: get rid of the IRS, CIA, FBI, department of education, etc.) and reduced their spending this wouldn't happen. But unfortunately the idiotic socialists have too much power and the government will only get bigger and bigger. RIP America

Do people read the news or understand politics? There is very little chance of that happening this time. Republicans want to defund or delay obamacare, democrats will not do that at all. Republicans are being led by the teaparty crazies of their party, so they don't want to compromise either. People better get those bootstraps.
