If talking paid. What a series.

Had to grab them tissues for the ending. What a beautiful show.

@Monsanto Have you seen the action comedy Baby Assassins?

Randomly found this joint in one of my sources and ended up enjoying it a lot. There's a hand to hand fight scene in this that had me :wow: Think I enjoyed as much as Fable.

Haven't seen it but I'll put it on tonight. The comedy in movies is really good for some reason.

Fable that one where they were jumping out of a van mid air?

:dead:

:russ: Yeah that was in the sequel.

Seems like they're stepping up on their action choreography too.

Besides the sloppiness from nearly every damn character on this show, i really fukked with A Family Model, kept me intrigued all the way through :ehh:

Love like a bouquet of flowers was amazing.

:blessed:

The cinematography and directing choices in here were top notch. Great film with two leads who know what they are doing and express a lot of charm through the screen.

This is how you showcase a Japanese movie.

Baby Assassin up next.

A few good Korean shows coming this fall. Not sure about japanese stuff since this isn't the thread for that, so I don't want to post the wrong stuff in here

IMO, Japanese doesn't have the output for it's own thread that's why I use this thread. I know I could use the essential recently watched thread but I don't feel like it :hubie:

I agree, South Korea already has a season ready to premier as soon as one show wraps up lol it's outstanding how much content is they have

Well i should have communicated it better, I know the film room is a stickler on certain things and I didn't want to derail the thread by mentioning other Asian shows and movies is all

I wouldn't worry about it. I've reviewed or gave impressions on like 20+ Japanese shows and movies in here.

We've had Chinese dramas with an absurd episode count recommended in here as well as Thai shows and movies. Anything goes.

September is going to be a big month in terms of output. I'm looking forward to some Japanese film festival releases getting online streams. Hopefully we get some real Korean piff this month...

Digging through the dirt and finding flawless gems

:mjcry:

Koisen futari is that shining ruby that reflects an image that makes you reevaluate life and it's many matters. Social commentary and character dynamics which touched on many generations, especially in Japanese culture where things are slow to progress or change.

If you like Because this is my first life, this is that show without filler to drag out an episode count. I love the way they handle tropes in this show. The last few moments of episode 8 were beautiful.

:wow:

Like poetry conceived on a rainy day. Too many good things to say about this show.

I've recommended this at least twice & haven't heard of anyone watching ii. It a Chinese series called Day & Night that was on Netflix. I watched it a year or two ago & it was removed shortly after us in the US region. I highly recommend it for the story, action, & fukery.

Synopsis:

Guan Hongfeng, a nyctophobic former police captain, returns as a consultant in order to discover the culprits behind the framing of his identical twin brother, Guan Hongyu, for familicide.
